Very dirty apartment cleaning, room by room
Part of the floor remains obstructed, the worktops are occupied and some equipment is still inaccessible. Cleaning only what is visible would leave concealed surfaces untouched and require further cleaning after each item is moved.
Very dirty apartment cleaning therefore follows an operational order: clear the access routes, clean the kitchen, continue with the bathroom and toilet, then finish the woodwork, equipment and floors.
- Clear pathways and surfaces before cleaning them.
- Check that water, electricity and suitable access are available.
- Clean the rooms in an order that prevents treated areas from being soiled again.
- Report permanent marks and situations requiring a different service.
What makes the work possible
Conditions required on site
- Access allowing the relevant rooms to be reached.
- A usable water supply for cleaning and rinsing.
- Electricity available for the planned equipment.
- A contact able to identify the items that must be retained.
The order followed within each room
- First clear a pathway without moving excluded items.
- Make surfaces concealed by movable objects accessible.
- Treat the relevant upper, vertical and equipment surfaces.
- Finish with the floor so it is not soiled during the other operations.
When the required service changes
- A covering that must be removed no longer falls within ordinary cleaning.
- An accumulation requiring removal needs a separate clearance service.
- Identified contamination requires a decontamination scope.
- Repairs to flooring, walls or equipment belong to building work.
A common method with location-specific conditions
Défi Clean works in the areas presented on the site’s local pages. The order remains the same everywhere: make surfaces accessible, work room by room and finish with anything that could be soiled during movement.
Access, building restrictions and available waste-removal arrangements depend on the address. The local pages explain these conditions without changing the boundary between cleaning, clearance, decontamination and building work.
The stages of room-by-room cleaning
Access
The rooms included in the service and the available pathways are identified before anything is moved.
Clearing
Movable items concealing surfaces are relocated, while belongings that must be kept remain separate.
Kitchen
Preparation surfaces, fronts, surrounding surfaces, the sink and accessible equipment are cleaned according to their materials.
Bathroom and toilet
These areas are treated when the water supply and necessary equipment are usable.
Final surfaces
Woodwork, remaining equipment and floors are cleaned in an order that limits further soiling.
Completion
Treated areas are presented, set-aside items are returned or left in the agreed place, and observed limitations are reported.
What must be checked before the work
- Effective access to the rooms included in the service.
- The availability of a usable water supply.
- The availability of electricity required by the planned equipment.
- The presence of a contact for belongings that must be retained.
- Materials that remain stable, recoverable and in place.
- Access to surfaces after movable items have been relocated.
- The absence of materials requiring removal.
- The absence of an accumulation or contamination requiring another service.
These criteria distinguish a very dirty apartment from an unsanitary situation: materials remain in place and the work consists of removing accessible deposits. The scope changes as soon as a material must be removed, an accumulation cleared or contamination given separate treatment. Défi Clean does not replace regular routine cleaning or repair a surface that is worn, chipped or permanently marked.

Questions about very dirty apartment cleaning
In what order are the rooms cleaned?
Access routes and surfaces are cleared first. The kitchen, bathroom and toilet are then treated according to their equipment and the resources available. Woodwork, remaining equipment and floors complete the work in an order that avoids soiling cleaned areas again.
Why not begin directly with the floors?
Moving items, cleaning vertical surfaces and working on equipment can soil the floor. Cleaning it first would require the operation to be repeated. The final pass therefore follows the main movements.
What must be available in the apartment?
The rooms must be accessible, and water and electricity must be usable when required by the equipment. A contact must also be able to indicate which belongings remain in place. Without these conditions, certain areas must be excluded or left pending.
Can bathroom fixtures be cleaned without water?
Operations requiring rinsing are not carried out without a usable water supply. A surface may be examined and its scope prepared, but the planned cleaning cannot proceed as intended. This limitation is reported to the available contact.
What happens to items covering the surfaces?
Movable items are relocated within the limits of the service. Belongings being retained are returned to the contact or left in the agreed place. Défi Clean does not independently decide to remove an item whose status remains uncertain.
How does this differ from cleaning an unsanitary home?
In a very dirty apartment, materials remain in place and can be cleaned. An unsanitary situation may require material removal, decontamination or separate building work. A substantial accumulation requiring removal also belongs to a separate clearance service.
What happens at the end of the work?
Areas included in the service are checked and presented to the contact. Set-aside belongings are returned or left according to the instructions received. Inaccessible surfaces and marks belonging to the material itself are reported.
